2:The MCM6209C is 64K x 4 static RAM chip. How many of these are needed to form a 1M * 4 module

Assuming the questions all involve the same 64K x 4 chip....

This has 64 thousand addresses each holding 4 bits.

If you need a wider data bus you put them together; to get an 8 bit data word you would need two. Do you see why?

If you need more addresses of 4 bits you again add more; to get 128K addresses you again need two. Do you see why?

Once you get that you can solve all these problems yourself!

Without regard to how you hook them up, you can just look at the total bits of memory needed.

If you have drums that can hold 50 liters, how many drums to you need to hold 1000 liters?

Same idea.

How may bits does a 64K x 4 RAM chip hold?

How many bits does a 1M x 4 module hold?

How many chips (your drums) do you need provide the module's capacity.
