Little know thing, Katy Kay was one of the "Breck" girls. For those that don't know "Breck" girls were in magazine ads for Breck shampoo.

All washed up now .
Speaking of washed up, check out what I did yesterday. I installed a 25HP VFD on giant washing machine. I might not be able to do such things if not for the knowledge I gained here @ AAC.

Ever seen a 25HP washing machine? This is at G&K, they are a uniform service. They are the people who provide, pick up, wash, and deliver uniforms to places like mechanic shops and industrial plants.

They have become very popular for running 3ph motors (up to ~5hp) in a home shop, I have spoken to a couple of Electricians that were not aware of the 240v 1ph in/3ph out capability.

getting paid to travel, not exactly big money. 56 cents per mile. It adds up though. My car only costs 6 cents/mile in gasoline, and I've already put 10,000miles on it since I bought it on 6/8/13. Figure 2/3 of that were paid miles, that's 3 grand.

If I went back to the oil patch now, then I would be making "big" money (for a guy without a degree anyway).

Personally I would stay away from the Huanyang, virtually no support or decent manual, also the Modbus interface is a nightmare (non-standard).
Max.
I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole, outside of a stupid shaft turner for something in my own garage. I would never install that in a customer's machine.
