I just picked up a Pickit 2 with PIC16f690 demo board. It was very cheap as it was on sale. I am going to use it in hobbyist projects at home only. I am curious about the the ADC inside. How well do it perform in respect to noise an accuracy? I do not expect high end results as it is 10 bits only, and the refference is VDD on the demo board.
My first project is to interface to a PC using the UART. So i will find out soon :)

What frequency is the waveform?
It was more a hypothetical question. What I plan is to use a MAX232 and serial communication to a PC. As I run 8MHz clock I think I will get problems then using 57.6K (rs232 link speed). But 19.2K should work fine. And this will limit the sampling rate to 960Hz theoretically.
