I used to use a combination of hints in a text file, scraps of paper and a system to generate less secure passwords, but I have moved to Password Safe https://pwsafe.org/ and like it. I am a fan of Bruce Schneier https://www.schneier.com/ who wrote the initial version.
I use Password Safe for the ever growing collection of passwords I need for all sorts of websites, but I don't use it for my banking passwords, I don't even use paper for those!I still write mine down. I would never trust software to save a password. I am the only one who knows where they are stored and no amount of physhing and hacking can access them.

Notebooks are absolutely ideal. If some hack wants to try and steal my passwords, I want the opportunity to break his knees.I have everything in a notebook which obviously isn't ideal.
How do you keep track of passwords, etc?
Any alternatives?

Paul
Until there's a fire?I find it ironic that the best security for computer passwords is written in pencil in the back of a book on the shelf.
At that point security is assured.Until there's a fire?
