Hello, How do I go from a circuit to a logic circuit? or at least How I begin doing it? Is there any rule or steps I need to follow?
I need this for a 555 astable oscillator circuit diagram I'm using for a door alarm project?
I need guidance, Thanks a lot [IMG]
Here is the circuit I'm using.

You don't say anything about your resources, so it's hard to know what to suggest. We have threads that deal with various freeware CAD apps. Eagle seems to have a following -

If that meets your needs, then we have other threads that deal with making PC boards.

ok let me explain. I already draw the 555 astable oscillator circuit diagram on Multisim, then I got all pieces together and mounted them on the board and everything is working fine. Now I need to do a logic diagram for the circuit I just built, something like this

The circuit diagram of my project is exactly the same I showed at the first post the only thing I added to that circuit is a magnetic reed switch at vcc that opens the circuit when the door is closed. when the door is open the circuit closes and the alarm comes on. thats how it works.

What I need is to go from the original circuit in the first post to something like tho diagram shown here in this post. It is supose to explain how the circuit works.

Thanks for your interest in helping me out.

The 555 is an integrated circuit.
It consists of several parts inside.
When you look at a datasheet or application note you will see more of it.

I replied with the datasheet and application not in this thread:
