Good afternoon All About Circuits,
Working with motion detectors to activate LED displays. Have worked with
the Quorum G4567 but I get a lot a false signals and other problems. Found the Honeywell IS215t, which is in the same price range as the G4567 is a bit more reliable and is designed in the USA.
Tried using the signal from IS215t as a switch as in
http://www.allenpitts.com/electronics/IS215T/Honeywell_IS215T_d.gif
but while one of the setups did provide on/off operation it was not as expected.
So tried using the signal to operate a transistor that would close a circuit as in
http://www.allenpitts.com/electronics/IS215T/Honeywell_IS215T_c.gif
Unfortunatley this did not work at all.
The idea is to substitute a 5 or 12 volt relay for the LED so the relay would operate the other devices, in this case, a LED display.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
