Can anyone out there please advise me on high efficiency precision power supply (HEPPS),,its actually an idea of combining the advantages of linear power supply and SMPS.

 

What do you want to know about them?

 

It is quite common to have an LDO follow a SMPS and there are ICs out there that implement this functionality.

 

What do you want to know about them?

It would be nice of you if you could provide me some examples on the circuit architecture and the controls.

 

Is this for personal interest, or for a commercial design? If commercial, do we get to share the profic/bask in the glory?

What have you come up with? Switch mode supplies are fairly well documented, as are linear regulation circuits.

well actually im doin this high efficiency precision power supply as a comercial design for a company. My idea is actually to build a SMPS and incorporate all the advantages of linear power supplies like better efficiency, ripples and etc. please advise
