Hi, i am working with a LM75 (LM75CIM-5) (http://www.national.com/ds/LM/LM75.pdf) chip for a thermometer project, but the problem is i can't plug it directly into the breadboard as the LM75 seems to come only as SOP-8 package.

Temporarily i had solded wires to each pinout so they can act as a DIP for the breadboard but i dont want to show the finished project like this way to my instructor.

The question is very simple.

Is there any converter or adapter from SOP-8 to DIP-8 out there?. I would be glad if anyone could give me a hint on this.
Thanks in advance.

Try digikey they have several break out boards.
If you can't find an exact match glue it to a pre holed prototyping board, apply a thin layer of epoxy to provide pin isolation, and flood the surrounding area with epoxy filled pop can shavings and dye, and then recalibrate it. It would be water proof if done correctly, think shrink tubeing and dielectric grease.
