I am a computer engineering student working on an Android project which requires electronics knowledge.
Basically I want to develop a helmet which consist of two led/indicator
Lights which send some signal through sensor if the person is wearing
the helmet or not .This data is received by GPS device (or GPS enabled mobile phone)
which is mounted on motorcycle below the speedometer. The gps device
will send this information to the RTO(Regional transport officer) who will
then get details off rider not wearing helmet details like name, address
,age .

A custom app for GPS will designed for Android OS.

I just want how the data will transmit from helmet to the device?
Whether is it possible to make such arrangements?

 

bluetooth would be the easiest IMO.. Its already built into the android phones.

 

I agree that BT is probably the way to go.

I also wonder about those Nike wireless shoe inserts. They need a receiver and I have no idea if it could be hacked to do other things.

 

could you please explain to me in detail and i just need something that can send signal which can recognised by the device.
Can the nike shoe inserts work in this case?
Tell me if you know some similar alternative .

 

get data from sensor...send data with bluetooth module. interpret data with host device.
