hey can anyone help me out....

I am trying to figure out a way to generate different frequencies(10kHz- 2MHz) using a pierce oscillator. [by using any piezoelectric device other than a crystal in the circuit- since it is not possible to generate different frequencies using a crystal].... any notes on its (Pierce oscillator) design and working is greatly appreciated...

Must it be a Pierce oscillator? The use of a crystal or similar frequency-setting device makes it hard to shift the frequency more than a few hundred hertz.
