I want to make a DC power supply for a HP computer model 6715b, that has 19.5V and 4.7 Amp. 90Watts

Do anyone have a good schematic of the circuit that can help me!

Yes, I know is not a trival design, is not something you will find in a high school I guess, but I want to know at least what is the typical thing that is damage at least in a Laptop charger because i don't really understand and maybe i can fix it ,at 100%,

I know the logic, but not the complete understand, Can you help me bountyhunter with a simple design at least?

or if not, could I make it with a simple power supply... that only gives me 19.5V and 20 amp???? I don´t know, it´s not about money, it´s about I want to make it,thanks anyway!!!

Greetings!

You could make one, but there are plenty of generics on the market. I've tried to design several (actually one), there are several pitfalls to complicate matters, such as the IR drop in the wire.

Just to give you an idea of what a laptop adapter power supply could look like. Sure you want to build one from scratch?
However, if you only want to fix them, I guess most often you will find blown/old capacitors, blown main switching ICs/transistors, semiconductors in general.
If you want to repair them on a regular basis a variable/isolation transformer and an oscilloscope will be very helpful.

The design they use is probably an offline switcher, not repairable.

If it's a linear designe, it would be as heavy as a boat anchor and the size of a bowling ball.

hmmm... 90 watts for a charger is not a very efficient design. i would suggest using a switching power supply, in which you can find schematics of online, and then you could come up with something similar to that to meet your specs.
i would actually recomend you BUY a charger

I doubt it is a easy way to build a charger that will charge your battery. The reason is that now a days. The charger is communication with the PC. If your PC sense that a non standard charger is connected. It will simply not charge the PC battery. So you have to get a charger that your PC may accept as a genuine HP charger. Also building a charger would cost much more than getting a second hand charger. You can not in this case just through some parts together and do some magic. In order to replace your lost or not working charger
