Please help with wiring pinout for the connector of remote control.

Was broken the cable near the connector. I would like to disassemble connector and resolder wires, but connector was covered with plastic and during disassembly of wires the corrupted. Before that I was not check any wires, thinking that I will make it without not damage.

Now I do not know how to solder it.

Help identify conformance colored wires to the 9 pin mini-DIN connector.

What you should be looking for is a manual. It should have the information you need. Have you contacted the parent company?

A quick explanation about hijacking.

When a thread is started it belongs to the OP (original poster). That thread is his, no one elses. If someone tries to take over that thread it is called hijacking. It is considered a form of theft and very bad manners, and is not allowed on AAC.

If you want to start a discussion you start your own thread, which in turn belongs to you. It will be protected from other people as the thread you tried to hijack was.

It is always OK to refer to other threads, show links to them for reference. You just can not try to take them over. You can also PM or write the author of the other thread, and ask him for help on yours.

You will need to write the other OP, and hope he still comes to AAC. Many people leave, never to return, in which case you would be where you are now.

 

The best way to rewire is to gentle remove using a small Flathead screwdriver the black piece which is covering the female din - gradually pry it from each side until it comes loose.
Once removed you need to reduce the depth of the black piece by about half, Use a sharp knife to cut it.
Once cut carefully slot it back in to the same position as before but be careful not to bend any of the exposed metal connectors.
Now you should be able to see the metal contacts visible and accessible. Carefully strip the remote lead and either solder or place each of the coloured cables in its position (ensuring good contact) as I´ve indicated in my diagram. Connect the system up and try some music (do not move the sub woofer yet in case any wires come loose.)
Once you have checked the following functions (see further down the list) you can now fill the female Din with enough super glue to ensure a permanent fix (be patient and allow enough time for the glue to dry) Now I recommend fixing a good 10cm of the remote cable to the body of the sub woofer to minimize the risk of putting strain on the little wires. Once fixed in to place you can improve the strength by filling the remainder of the din with Silicone. Good luck

Very important to check the following operations before gluing:

1. On/Off on remote
2: volume up/down
3. Bass up/down
4. headphone socket left/right audio working on headphones

I have the same problem but the cable colours are slightly different.

I have I-Trigue 3300 speakers with a very similar plug but there is no brown or mauve cables. I've used a blue cable (not the aqua) instead of the brown and don't know what to put in the mauve pin (your colours). the only available wire is the bare wire.

I haven't plugged it in yet coz I was hoping you might know what goes on the mauve pin.

Please let me know either way.

I found this thread while trying to trouble shoot a homemade volume/bass/headphone remote for my Creative speakers.

Does anyone have any information on the audio jacks used on these things? It seems to have a number of "extra" pins on them.
