Given the DC resistance of an inductor (from the datasheet), how can you calculate its parasitic resistance?

 

Why do you think these are different quantities?

 

It depends what you mean. The DC resistance is a parasitic resistance, but if you require an equivalent AC loss resistance for a coil, this will not have a simple relationship to the DC value. Other things like skin effect, eddy currents and hysteresis loss may come into play.
