hi all, i'm trying to fix HP-2510 laptop motherboard which got a bit fried. namely one of diode or transistor packs in the power circuitry. i looked many places, i.e. http://tkb-4u.com/codes-and-markings/smd-codes-markings/database but so far did not have much luck figuring out what am i dealing with.

this is a SOT23-5 (5 legs) package, on top clearly written (T1IG).

That definitely looks like a SMD Integrated Circuit (IC). It's difficult to say what kind of part it really is. It appears to say "TTIG" so it might be from Texas Instruments; just a wild conjecture though.

 

I'd say it's a MOSFET or a transistor pair
I did came across the same type of component in an Inverter Assy.
checked the schema and it was a Mosfet.
I have to see more of that area around that component to be sure. and take some voltage measurements if possible

Another way is to locate another component with the same marking, then may be I can tell you more
