I am in need of a Dimmer for a heating pad. I no my way around electronic "if" I have a schematic. All I need is a simply schematic for a dimmer or step dimmer for A 120V heating pad. I don't want to use resistors as it isn't financially beneficial.

Note: The goal is 2.00 or less in cost. Otherwise I would just purchase a dimmer from home depot or something.

Probably. But you likely can't make it for 2.00 (of whatever currency you are using) unless you have a well-stocked junk box.

As long as the load is less than the rated 4 amps of the BT136.
