Hi,

I'm trying to find a high speed linear actuator that would move back and forth at max rate of 200 cycles/minute. The stroke length would vary from 1-5cm with a force of 5-20 newtons. The cheaper the better of course, but I would spend as much as $500 for a high quality item. Does anyone have recommendations?

 

I think a D.C. motor with a ballscrew drive would do this.

I think you made a calculation error.
He states 200 cycles per Minute.
That is 200 / 60 = 3.333333 Hz.
