Heat controller

I was wondering ... did any of you did any thing or may be just for the heck of it a 220VAC heat controller.

Like using a PIC12F629 or 675 and a pot together with a triac .

A simple open loop one ..looking for a quick getaway one here.
I have those components and heater too....

Just need a code for it u know.....
tried googling but for the PIC I have, nothing came up.

tried googling but for the PIC I have, nothing came up.
I've done induction motor control at 110/220. A resistive heater is *easy* compared to that!

Edit: let me rephrase that: "Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy" as my daughter would say...

I used a Honeywell digital thermostat and relay to control my forced air kerosine shop heater. Not sure that's what you want though.

I'm looking for a PIC code. A simple one at that..

Since my HDD crashed I have not been able to locate all of my files. I did have a PIC 12F629 Dremel controller schema and code on the drive, I found it from the net.

Some guy did it and he posted everything...can't seem to find it now

I don't have a freakin lamp dimmer.

What I have is.
A PIC
TRIAC,
ALL THE COMPONENTS.

and a lotta adrenaline. :D
