Ok so i have this 555 servo controller.
When power and ground are in the circuit it works.
But when I add a battery it fails to start.
Can some one lecture me on this?

To me , neither will work unless there is a connection between VCC & Reset.

 

I did it on a breadboard and it worked but I had to change some resistors and a cap to get an even turn on both ends.
But there is a connection between reset (4) and vcc (8).
