We can't help you unless we can figure out what you are doing wrong. We can't figure out what you are doing wrong until you show us what you are doing.
You might try redrawing the circuit into something more familiar. Most simple circuits are draw with the reference node all connected together at the very bottom of the circuit. See if that helps.
