H-Bridge with all logic level n-fets

Hi,

I've been looking at building a h-bridge for a 36V 500w dc (electric scooter) motor. I almost settled on the osmc design but got an email today from my electronics supplier advertising a IRLB3034PbF high current logic level fet.

The hip4081 chips is rather expensive here so I was wondering if I can't just use the mosfets mentioned above and drive them from a micro on the high and low side? My concern is whether the logic level n-fets work on 5v even on the high side of the bridge?
Also this fet is rated at 40v would three 12v batteries be pushing the limit there?

Help appreciated, as always :)

Actually, the motors are being rebuild into a small buggy for my son. He is only 2.5 years old so to make things easy the drive mechanism will work like a tank's e.g. reverse one side and forward the other to turn, controlled by joystick.
