What about the NBA? where you have total inequality between east and west teams, and east time with less than .500 records can make the playoffs , where is if u have that record in the west u get crunched.

 

They're not bad per se, but they are all about money. More teams in playoffs means more playoff games means mo' money. Can ya feel me on this!

That's what the playoffs are for. Get rid of the really bad teams, them find out who is best on the field. Or, you could do it by an opinion poll among Methodist ministers, I guess. Which do you prefer?

So in reality, you are complaining about the Bucs. They are in an easy division with lots of pushovers. Does that make the NFL system bad? If so, how so? What would you prefer? Something like the Sooners vs. Connecticut last night?

Bucs or any of the other NFC teams with winning records. My main point is a team with a loosing record should not be in the playoffs when 16 teams have winning records. And they got there on a bad call by the officials. Its groundbreaking territory. Its never happened before.

One play, one game, the ball was spotted properly. The simple fact is that the rules for the playoffs were set before the season. Every game has one or more questionable calls. If the coach failed to challenge the call, that's his fault. However, to change the rules by which the playoffs are determined after the season is effectively over is absurd.

?????? The ball wasn't it shows in the video the ref calls a 1st down by the player spot ball, not the ref's spot. After the ref calls 1st down, the other ref picks up the ball and moves it back 3 yards.

No way. You should at least read the first link you provided.

No way was it moved 3 yards. Moreover, if you read the entire blog, you will note:

By the time the error was recognized, it was too late for the Rams to challenge the call. (In a strange twist, the spot itself ended up being correct.)

Regardless of that one play, you live and die by the rules. I am sure Tampa had some questionable calls go in its favor too. You can't go along making up new rules to suit your needs at the time. You implied there was malicious intent, and there is absolutely no evidence of that, either in that play or throughout the season.
