hi
project for this month is to make a large led temperature display.
making the 8 segment display from led strips photo attached.
what i would like to know is that I'm using a an Red Digital Thermometer photo attached.
i am using the outputs from the Red Digital Thermometer to make the larger one's illuminate but they need more power so i need transistors ?
from the led outputs which are vcc-
can any one help please

Is the light strip 3 LED's in series with a resistor peg segment for operation on 12 V ? Are each letter segment going to be a multiple of 3 LED's ? Yes, a transistor or FET for each letter segment

What? Huh?

From that description, you expect someone to recommend transistors or MOSFETs suitable to use?

Why don't you supply more information about the LED strips that you want to use (like current and voltage requirement, and does it have internal current limiting) and what in the world you meant by the quoted text.

Is your temp display battery powered or does it operate from the mains? What voltages are available? Do you mind using auxiliary power for your LED strips? (it's likely going to take much more power than before).
