Topic: Function Generator; Pulse Waveforms
Why does a pulse waveform with parameters 2.5Vpp and 1.25VDC offset give you a 5V pulse? Why can't 5.0Vpp give you a 5V pulse ? Thank you.

I would guess you're making the rather common mistake of operating your function generator into a high impedance. Your function generator probably has an output impedance of 50 ohms, so you should terminate the output with a 50 ohm resistance; then the output amplitude will read correctly. Some function generators let you tell them whether you're operating into a 50 ohm load or a high impedance load and thus let you have correct amplitude settings for either case (quite convenient and easy to do in firmware, as no hardware has to change).
