Hii... Everyone.. I m making an Op Amp based Function generator for my project ....It generates Triangular, Sine, Square waves. The Triangular wave is the Base ..Then I apply a Waveshaper to it to get sine ...aand Differentiate triangular wave to get Square Wave



My Query is this ... How does the Circuit perform as a Triangular wave oscillator.. I just don't get the logic . Pl.. help !.. someone... I have to submit the report on 31st !!!

 

It shows the voltage 'ramp' that is a function of the RC time constant in that generator. Different freq are selected by varying the values of R and C in the circuit.

It shows a time related output voltage equivalent to the charging of the capacitor. The charging rate it tracks should only be a small portion of the full charging time of the cap, so it will appear to be a linear function.

BTW, "triangle" is generally preferred to triangular.
