Hello everyone. I've been messing around with Digilent BASYS2 board. I want to develop my own breakout board soon using the Xilinx Spartan 3E-100 Chip. I understand that the chip needs to be powered at 3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8 and 1.2V, but I want to know other things to consider for FPGA board design? For example, how is the JTAG connected?

Go here and download the "Spartan-3E FPGA ASCII Pinouts and Excel Footprints" file. Open the tables file... this is the pinouts for each device in the family...

You can go here to figure out what the JTAG signals are...
