Fixing a Wedge Monitor

Hey Guys,

I am currently to fix a bad board on an EAW SM 400iH wedge monitor and I am having some difficulty finding the parts i need to rebuild this board. I am more of a digital electronics guy myself so pardon me if I sound a little out of my league.

I have a fair number of what I think are varistors and the only markings on them are:

T I
6J 250V
Mexico

Now, I would like to replace with the same component if possible. The package is yellow and about the size of 2 double A batteries. Has anyone seen where these are sold? I am having the hardest time finding these suckers.

Also, there are several what seem to be just coils of wires, acting as an inductor, I suppose and several have markings along the line of .14/18 or 1.80/18 and a pair have handwritten .02 and .04 on them. One of these coils is unmarked. I was wondering how do I find out more information about these coils and where are they purchased.

Thanks for all the help and patience.

It sound very much like a crossover network - capacitors and inductors.
The complete assemblies are pretty much 'off-the-shelf' parts, as long as you know the pass frequencies and power ratings.

The yellow items are I beleive capacitors - this general series, just bigger. They used to be very common.

One newer type are these, assuming the 6J is actually 6U??

Varistors are usually like a 'thick coin' format, or some really big ones are blocks with screw terminals.
