Also before I ripped out the power supply cords, it was working fine.
You didn't post that before. If everything was working properly, then all the components would have been installed correctly. I don't have an answer; I see no reason why disconnecting the power would cause some of the LEDs to no longer light. How were the wires disconnected?

There were ripped out rather abruptly. I think while I was desoldering my iron might have had too much contact with the pcb.

If you compare these three, http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=49540&d=1355088721 http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=49554&d=1355090615 http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=49553&d=1355090615
you should see that the wires look like they are connected somewhere where they should not be. The red wire looks like it connects also to the pad next to it, and the black wire is very hard to tell. You just need to be careful about what youre actually connecting.

I tried the same circuit. But now when I turn on the tree on a few lights blink, but when I press down on the resistors and capacitors, everything works as accordingly. Any solutions?

Isolate the problem to a few components by pressing, then examine the solder joints associated with those few components. Look for solder bridges and cold solder joints. Remove any solder bridges, and reheat any cold solder joints.

So to repay cold solder joints I just reheat them? Or should I add another coating of solder? Also could it be the type of solder? I used another lead free type.
