is there an easy way to find the AL of a toroidal core? ive been doing some looking, but im pretty new to this topic. is there a "meter" of sorts i can build to tell me the AL? or a simpler method? would this apply to all types of transformer cores such as toroidal, rod, E and I? thank you much!

LCR Meters do it if you enter number of turns.

You can also measure inductance if you have a squarewave generator and a scope.
