I am supposed to do some experiments on low-pass filters and compare them to results of calculations. I don't know the exact English name for what I am supposed to calculate, here's the formula:
a = 20*log(V1/V2),
where V1 and V2 are voltages on the input and output of the filter. V1 is set to 5V.
I have calculated these coefficients for experiment results, and now I am supposed to calculate them using theoretical methods and I have no idea how to do it.
Attached is a circuit diagram (with missing symbols of two capacitors and a resistor, and Vs pretending to be Us). The values of R, L, C, V1 are given.
