    Hi there,

I am in the process of building an energy meter, which measures v(t) and i(t) to find energy, power etc. The meter thus has a current transformer in it.

Say have I have non-linear elements (e.g. diodes) in the load I'm measuring, which introduce harmonics in either (or both) voltage and current.

My question: What frequency/bandwidth do I design the current transformer for, so that I don't cut out harmonics? The load could be absolutely anything, so what harmonics do I account for?

    Thanks :)
