Pneumatics is the next closest thing, but it is slow. Current microprocessors operate at billions of cycles per second, you would be lucky to get 10 cycles per second pneumatically. You can also emulate some electronics with mechanics.

electronics is a branch of physics which naturally deals with the motion of electron in various electrical component and controlling these motion we fulfill our requirements.

Just think the world without cell phone, how it will be?
