Does there exist a chip that basically gives the function of a rotary? A relay that can do this?

The switch should ideally have 60 positions, but I should be able to do a cascade.

Is it an analog signal or a power signal?
How many "positions" should the switch have?

Sorry, I had to pull out some information I thought might be useful. I'm looking at DC signals from 10-110 kHz, and up to 10 volts but more likely 1.

You could have a look at the 4051 - Analogue multiplexer/demultiplexer (1-of-8 switch)
or an 4067 - 16-channel analogue multiplexer/demultiplexer (1-of-16 switch)

CD4066 is the improved version of the old CD4016.

There are as well the CD4051, CD4052 and CD4053.
