Electronic Timer Circuit for motor

Gurus,
May be this is too simple for you guys but i being from different branch dono much abt electronics.
I am trying to built a circuit which will work as timer which will stop my motor(this motor is like water pump motor) after say 1 hr.
so the I see circuit between AC Current and the Motor which will cut the AC supply to motor after particular time.
AC current -- Circuit---Motor.

Can someone pls help me in this.

I think this is an application for a relay. You would use the relay to apply and remove the voltage to the pump motor. You can then use a low voltage timer circuit to control the relay.

Doono how much it draws.. Its the standard 230V AC Im supplying, I need to off the motor after 1 hr..
Is there any way to find how much current it takes.

If you are new to the electronic or electrical DIY, suggest you to buy those cheap Timer switching Plugs from the stores ( you can choose either digital type or mechanical type).
If you wanna try to build it yourself, be careful about electric shock or blowing up due to careless mistakes when testing.
