I think you will find that many forum members are not exactly fans of Edison.

 

I respect Edison, but he had a tendency to take credit for all work done in his research lab. He had a core of inventions that were his alone, but many of them were from his lab.

 

But that poor elephant...

 

It was a different era. My Dad used to talk about movie shorts that pitted one animal against another. Some were in arena's, some were in the wild. Now days it would be condemned thoroughly, but back then it was business as usual. No one ever thought anything about it.
