I've got to be more observant.

I made a lowball offer for 9 used contactors on Ebay. $5each. Shipping was ~$6 each.

Never gave it much thought.

I just checked tracking and noticed it shipped from a small city 25Mi. away.
My son-in-law works for same city. Sister lives there for gosh sakes.

Oh well, he may not have accepted the offer if he knew I would try to beat him out of the S&H.

That's never happened to me before.
As everyone knows the best deals are proportional to distance.

 

Probably worth the $6 and avoid the hassle of having a family member pick it up and get it to you.

Besides, I am not sure I would want strangers coming to my door to pick up an item. It is the reason I avoid selling on Craigslist.
