They make a number of different models. There are wiring diagrams at the back of the manuals.

 

These sucker use pretty high current. Look for corroded or weak wires, they can be a culprate. Basically the same sort of thing you'd look for with a starter problem on a car.

Does this model have a voltmeter on the dashboard? It would be interesting to see how the voltage drops under load.
