dumb waiter wiring

im a trying to wire up a dumb waiter with reversing contactor from struthers-dunn. model number of the contactor is a 275 series with a coil voltage of 24vac. the motor im trying to wire up to the contactor is a marathon electric 120v 1ph. any help is much apprciated. let me know if you need more info

First, look at the connection diagram on the motor so you can locate and separate out the starting winding--reversing this winding controls the direction--experiment on the motor while it is free shaft to make sure that it starts in both directions as desired.

The contactor indicated is a 3 pole double-make. To wire such requires the low side of the main winding to be permanently connected to the neutral (circuit return path)--the first contact interrupts the hot side--the other two contacts connect the starting winding per the direction.

The aux contacts are used to seal in either of the two coils.
