Dual DC Converters for split rails

I need to build a split rail converter with 24V in and +15V, -15V out. There are not a lot of converter modules with this configuration however in the past I have succeeded by putting two 24->15 converters back to back sharing a common ground. (I don't want to start from scratch and build a converter but prefer to assemble with commercial modules)

I would like to insure best practices here, and wonder if there is a "gotcha" document discussing any problems or procedures with this type of design.

Any comments appreciated
thanks

I have even floated a 5 volt switching supply on the 400 VDC output of a vacuum tube rectifier (5Y3). The isolation in those SMPS supplies can be very good. Read the documentation before trying several hundred volts!
