I have a hand held dog repeller. Is it possible to amplify this signal? Can I say..., disconnect the piezo buzzer that produces the sound, and connect those wires into a small guitar amp and run that to some speakers?

Thanks for your help

Depends on both speakers and guitar amp. When I was in college we would feed ultrasonic signals into decent stereo amplifiers, which is similar to what you are trying to do, it worked.

However, I suspect you do not have tweeters, and the frequency range of the said amp is a lot lower, so my inclination is to say no.

perhaps it would be advantageous to upgrade to a better handheld dog repeller?
This is the one I recommend:

Also works on cats, snakes, humans, and other large threatening wildlife.

Not good for repelling bees or mosquitoes.

It could work for bees and mosquitoes if you used black powder... :D
