Evening all,
Im struggling with and inverter design at the moment, ive always managed to run away from mosfets in h bridges until now:D but i cant for this:( The h bridge bus runs at 310vdc out the range of most high side drivers i can find that fit the requirements and ideally like to build the system from discrete components to help me understand it all a bit better. I understand the basic bootstrap voltage doubler circuit but is it just accurate timing and values that keeps the gate voktage at the correct level? i.e for example 10v above the positive rail but no more or less or is a feedback system involved? Also in the case of switching inductive loads were the voltage present in the system is continually changing does the system not require feedback from the voltage present across the load to set the required gate voltage?

Thanks
harry
