I have scoured the web looking for a tool to help me choose a diode based on the characteristics I need.
Sure, there are thousands of manufacturer's data sheets out there, but is there a tool where I can input forward volt drop, reverse volt rating, and current capability, suggesting a diode type that fits those criteria .....
Specifically I am looking for an axial lead diode (like a 1N400x) which has a Vf of 0.6 to 1.0V, and can handle up to 5A (peak) forward current.
I just feel like I'm scrabbling at the foothills of a mountain, surely there's a tool out there to help me select ?
