Please use a more appropriate title when you post here, such as "What is a video digitizer?" Spelling counts, too. Believe it or not, there is less interest in helping someone who can't be bothered to spell out their problem.

A video digitizer converts an analog video signal to a digital signal. They are often used to archive older analog video tapes onto hard drives and such, so that the older players are no longer required. Also, it's much easier to edit digital video on a computer.
