designing a filter-pi and RC
I am new to electronics(am a first year student),and have this assignment to do.Some body please help.Thanks.
I want to Design a ∏-section CLC filter whose ripple factor is 0.105.The dc output voltage is to be 9.3V,a load current of 40 mA. I am to Redesign the same as an RC filter to maintain the same ripple,the rectifier should be a bridge type.
This is what I have done so far
RL=9.3/(40*10^-3)=232.5Ω
ripple,r=(√2*Xc*Xc)/(RL*XL)
=>C^2*L=2.33541*10^-9
and Xc=1/2ωC
XL=2ωC
for a frequency=50Hz
Now what I'll have to do is that I'll have to select the capacitor and inductor values....Some reasonable value should be there......Somebody please help.....
