I need to design a 40-0-40 volt transformer- the specifications are 110/230v input and the output should be
i)40-0-40
ii)12-0-12
the current rating for the above is
i)5amp for 40-0-40
ii)3amp for 12-0-12
the application of this transformer is used in ham radio
40v is used for power amp and 12v is used on other circuits
please suggest me the number of turns for primary and secondary windings
and also specify which gauge of the wire should be used and what are the other parameters should be considered. as am a electronics engineer i dont know much about transformer parameters.
