Starting from Coulomb's Law, relating the force between two point charges to the magnitude of the charges and the distance between them, develop expression for the electric field density, D and electric field intensity, E, at a distance of r meter from a charge of magnitude +q1 coulomb. [20%]

then show that the absolute potential at a distance of r meter from a point charge of +q1 coulomb, in air is given by V = q1 / (4pi x epsilon x r) . [30%]

I moved this to the Homework section, as the percentages make the questions appear to be from a test.

We do not supply answers, but are willing to give guidance in instances where you are stuck. What work have you done so far on these questions?
