Hello i been trying to figure out what codes do gate 1, gate 2, and gate 3 decode in the picture attached. please help

 

Make a truth table. The Y term depends on the states of A0 - A2.

 

I wouldn't call it a decoder, but rather a random Boolean function. It is expressed in a Product of Sums form.

But, now? i dont understand what codes do gate 1, gate 2, and gate 3 decode )it's a question in a review sheet

Y is in one state for some states of A0 - A2, and the other for the remaining states of A0 - A2. Is there some common condition of the inputs for Y = 1, or for Y = 0?
