I have a variable voltage DC source(42V-48V) and i want a constant 48V output. can i achieve that throug dc to dc convertors??

If you have sufficient input power, you might use a buck-boost, SEPIC, or similar topology. You might get by with just a boost topology, but I have a feeling that your input voltage may exceed your desired output voltage.

How much current do you have available at 43v-48v?

How much current do you need at 52v?

Without the above information, it will be difficult to suggest a suitable circuit.

What is it exactly that you are wanting to do?

It sounds like you want to charge a battery bank. For that you need a charge controller, not a constant voltage.
