Is there a simulation in LT Spice for a DC PM motor? I want to make a soft starter for the motor (100+ amps inrush, 36 amps running) and I'd like to simulate it first before I start cooking things.

I have the same interest. Should be a way to model the back EMF you get with a motor, but I have yet to understand the relationship between that and the inductive characteristics of the windings. I have a book related to the subject I still need to read.

You'll have to come up with numbers for the motor you wish to simulate, but this looks like a good starting place.
