I am designing a plastic shredder and am driving it with a 24VDC motor. I would like a circuit that would automatically reverse the motor when the shredder bogs down and the amperage increases past the rated motor load. I think it should have some time delay before changing direction. The Motor I am using is MY1025.

 

How about a hall current sensor (module) into an op amp/comparator into a resistor to charge a capacitor to introduce some delay into a second comparator which triggers a transistor to switch a DPDT relay?
