I have a Dayton AC Induction motor 5 HP 1740 RPM 60 Hz Single Phase model 5K489-0 and need to find the value for the oval shaped run capacitor in it. The one in it now is corroded and the markings can not be seen except for the 370 VAC part. I need to find out the u F of the run capacitor. There are two start capacitors in this motor Mallory 1070 MFD 125V if that can help anyone figure out the correct run capacitor I need for it.

Thanks,

:confused::confused::confused:

Thanks for the help. A Grainger repairman finally called me bac today and said the one I need is a 70 uF 370 VAC so you almost hit it on the head with a 60 uF one. I am sure that one would have been fine too but think I will just get the one the motor people said to use. Thank You.
